Under the Tervisekassa system in Estonia, patients with a severe disability and special mental health needs are legally entitled to dental care with 100% state cover. Our clinic is one of the few in Estonia specially equipped to see patients with developmental and mobility differences. We organise the visit as a whole: a step-free welcome at the entrance, a gentle familiarisation appointment and treatment at a comfortable pace, without rushing. Treatment is carried out without haste, pain or stress under general anaesthesia administered by an experienced anaesthesiologist. As soon as 30 minutes after the procedure the patient can go home.

How the visit goes

Calling and preparation
Tell the receptionist about any particular needs in advance: we will set aside more time, prepare the room and brief the dentist.

Familiarisation visit
The first appointment can involve no treatment — just meeting the room and the dentist. For many patients that is the decisive step.

Treatment
We work at a comfortable pace, with breaks. Where needed we bring in an anaesthesiologist and carry out the treatment under sedation or general anaesthesia in one visit.

Payment through Tervisekassa
The clinic works under a contract with Tervisekassa. Once your entitlement is confirmed, treatment is paid directly and you pay nothing at the clinic. Reception will tell you by phone what applies in your case.

After the procedure

We give all instructions in writing: it is easier for the person accompanying you not to have to remember them.
If anything worries you after the visit, call or write to reception — we will get back to you with advice at the first opportunity, with no need for an extra trip.
We plan the next visit straight away: a steady schedule matters more to many patients than the speed of treatment.
