About the specialist
Oral surgeon. Graduated from the University of Tartu as a dentist in 2000 and completed a specialisation in oral surgery at ONMEDU in 2010. Since 2004 he has been the trusted dentist of the dental implant manufacturer Lasak in Estonia. His main work is oral surgery: removal of impacted and wisdom teeth, surgical exposure of teeth for orthodontic treatment, removal of cysts and tumours of the jaw and of the soft tissues of the mouth, bone grafting where bone is missing, implant placement, autotransplantation of a patient's own tooth into the place of a missing one in children and adolescents, and biopsy for the diagnosis of oral lesions. Most operations are performed under local anaesthesia. In more complex cases sedation or general anaesthesia is possible.
